Who This Template Is Perfect For

Built for studios with a waiting list

Tattoo

A dark, confident site for studios that book custom work and want the enquiries filtered before they land. Everything in the preview is a placeholder. The studio name, the artists, the work and the rates are all replaced with yours.

The Process

From here to live

Two to Four Weeks

01

You pick Obsidian

Tell me this is the direction. We talk through your styles, your artists, and how you want enquiries to arrive.

02

You send content

Your healed work, artist bios, styles and your deposit and rate policy. I send a simple checklist so nothing is missed.

03

I build it

I adapt the design to your brand and send it over to review. We go back and forth until you approve the final look.

04

We go live

Domain connected, booking connected, analytics set up, and a full handover. After launch, new work and artist changes come straight to me and are handled as part of your monthly care plan.

Obsidian style list with cursor preview
The Standout Feature

A style list that
previews as you move

Six styles listed as clean rows. As the cursor passes each one, a photo of that style floats alongside and follows the pointer, so a visitor browses your specialities without a single click or a wall of thumbnails.

  • Image trails the cursor with eased motion
  • Falls back to a plain list on touch devices
  • Disabled automatically for reduced-motion users
  • Add or remove styles without breaking the layout
  • Healed-work gallery with fullscreen lightbox
  • Artist profiles with specialities and wait times
  • Four-step process with deposits and rates explained
  • Booking enquiry form with style, placement and size

What It Costs

Build, then hosting

Quoted Separately

$500+A one-time build fee, quoted per project based on how much you want on the site. Hosting and care is a separate monthly cost, quoted at the same time so you see both numbers before committing.

One-Time

The Build

Design adapted to your studio, your work and artists set in, your process and deposit policy written up, enquiry form connected, and launch handled.

From $500, quoted per project. You will have a fixed number in writing before any work begins.

Monthly

Hosting & Care

Keeps the site online, fast, secure and backed up, with software kept current.

Separate from the build, quoted at the same time so you see both numbers together. New work and artist changes are added for you as part of the plan.

Good to Know

Frequently Asked Questions

Before We Start

How does this actually work?

You are choosing a design direction, not buying a file. There is nothing to download or configure. I adapt this look to your brand, build every section around your content and your words, and send it over to review. We go back and forth until you approve the final look, then it goes live on your domain.

Can clients book and pay a deposit online?

Yes, through whatever you already use, Square, Acuity, Calendly or a studio system like Tattoo Pro. I connect it so booking feels part of the site. Those platforms charge their own fee, separate from anything I quote. If you would rather vet every enquiry by hand first, the form does that instead.

Will a dark site hurt me on Google?

No. Search ranking does not care about your colour scheme, it cares about speed, structure and whether the content answers what people searched for. I build the contrast to accessibility standards so the text stays readable, which is the part that would otherwise cause problems.

How does new work get added to the gallery?

You send me the new pieces and I add them to the gallery. Studios post constantly, so gallery updates are covered under your monthly care plan. If you would like to add work yourself, we can set that up, just raise it on the onboarding call and we will talk through the options and cost.

Do you need professional photos?

Not necessarily. Good phone photos in consistent daylight work well, and they read as more honest than stock. What does not work is mixed lighting, heavy filters, or shooting everything fresh. Healed photos sell far better because that is what the client will actually live with.

Can the design be less dark?

Yes. The structure and the animations work just as well on a lighter palette, the colours are built as variables, so shifting the whole site warmer or lighter is straightforward. Pick the layout first and we will settle the palette against your existing branding.

Do I own the website?

Yes. The files, the domain and the content are yours. If you ever move to another host or designer, everything transfers.

Do you only work with studios in Los Angeles?

No, I work anywhere in the US. If you are local we can meet in person.

entirely your own?

If none of the designs fit, I build from a blank page too. Same process, more discovery.
