A Plus Auto Shop has repaired cars on Sunland Boulevard since 2005. They compete against dealership service departments with marketing budgets, and against chains that buy the top of every search result. What they have is twenty years of the same customers.
The Situation
Choosing a mechanic is a trust decision made by people who cannot verify the work. A dealership wins that decision by default, not because it is better, but because it looks institutional and the independent shop down the street often has no website at all, or one from 2011 that does not work on a phone.
The searches are also more specific than most people assume. Nobody types "auto repair". They type "brake repair Sun Valley", "check engine light Burbank", "smog check near me". Each of those needs somewhere to land.
So the job was to make a twenty-year-old family shop read as the safer choice, and to be present for the searches that actually happen.
What I Built
The structure is deliberately plain. Services, service areas, hours, a phone number that follows you down the page, and enough proof to make a stranger comfortable.
Measured, Not Claimed
Every number below was measured on the live site, not estimated. No invented statistics, and no client metrics I cannot show you.
Measured on the live site in July 2026 from a US test server, using the mobile user agent. The rating and review are the figures published in the shop’s own structured data. No repair-order counts or revenue figures are shown, because those are the client’s to share and not mine to estimate.
Why It Matters
Naming the towns you serve, one at a time, in the copy and in the structured data, is the single cheapest local SEO move available to a service business, and most shops skip it. "We serve the greater Los Angeles area" competes for nothing. "Brake repair in Burbank" competes for something specific.
The speed matters for a mundane reason. A lot of these searches happen from a car that will not start, on cellular data, with the person already annoyed. A page that opens in under a second wins against one that does not.
If you run an independent shop, a tire store, a detailer or a towing company, the same three ingredients apply: name the services, name the towns, make the phone number impossible to miss.
Tell me what you do and which towns you work in. I'll come back with a fixed price for the build and the monthly care plan, so you see both numbers before you commit.
